He also does an excellent job of explaining the history of the island in an interesting and conversational way. Lauren E2023-08-27Amazing Day We had the most amazing day on our tour of Rhodos! Our driver Vaggelis was clearly passionate about Rhodes, the culture and he told us things we'd never know without a local guide. Van was lovely and modern and we spent the day in luxury travelling to Old town first, then onto some of the best view points ever looking over the North of the island. We continued to Lindos stopping at the most amazing traditional clay pottery. Everything made and painted by hand. It was beautiful. The owner very friendly sharing his home picked and roasted figs. I of course had to purchase some of the beautiful items 😊 St Pauls bay and Lindos are beautiful, but very busy.Vaggelis recommended a place for ice-cream and it didn't disappoint. We had a few hours at our own leisure before heading back to the van. When headed to Haraki where we had the most beautiful lunch at Agro. Fresh caught red snapper was beautiful. We swam in the bay before back to the van heading back towards the resort stopping off at Kalithea springs which was gorgeous. Honestly believe this is the best way to see the island and hear all about the history of this beautiful place. Would not hesitate to book again when we return to Rhodes. Evi was lovely and made the booking process easy, she genuinely cared we had a good day checking in with us afterwards. Lovely family run company ❤️
We were recently on a cruise that docked in Rhodes. We never book the tours through the ship and George is one of the reasons why. Happily we found George among the many drivers waiting at the port. He speaks very good English and knows Rhodes as he is a native. He has many friends around the area and knows the best stops, especially if you are there for only one day. Our experience in Rhodes was wonderful and it was due to George. He also helped us to arrange our pickup in Athens and a guide as well. If we travel to that area in the future, we will contact GES travel for arrangements. And we will be in good hands.
